Course Description:
Prevalent in Europe for many years, this versatile approach to climbing is becoming increasingly popular in North America. Climbers’ first attempts at double rope techniques often resemble an explosion in a spaghetti factory, but it's really not much of a burden once you get the hang of it.

We’ll help you learn to cope with the inherent complexities of this system, while emphasizing the advantages of using two ropes.

For confident climbers who have completed our Leading Skills Evaluation and are comfortable leading moderate rock.

Double ropes add security where sharp edges are prevalent

Double ropes facilitate a quick retreat on alpine rock
